The doctors and staff of Vision Source – Dr. Dan Host use high tech equipment to protect your vision and your eye health.
Auto-refractor/keratometer
The auto-refractor/keratometer provides the doctor preliminary measurements used to determine your final spectacle and/or contact lens prescription.
Auto-phoropter
The auto-phoropter is used to refine the measurements from the auto-refractor/keratometer to determine your final prescription for lenses.
Optomap
The Optomap is the latest addition to our equipment. The Optomap provides ultrawide field images of your retina. It is invaluable in the diagnosis and management of eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments, and many other eye conditions. In some cases, it may be used in the place of dilating your eyes.
OCT – Optical Coherent Tomography
The OCT is a specialized instrument that uses scanning laser technology to provide cross-sectional and 3D images of the retina. It is valuable in aiding in the diagnosis and management of macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and other eye diseases.
